A Sonoma County TTRPG Convention
May 31, 2026
Cuver Brewery, Windsor
The Tavern is about to open…
You all meet in a tavern…
Riddle & Rook is organizing a TTRPG convention that celebrates both that classic starting point of epic adventure and Sonoma County’s unique culture: TavCon! We’re seeking game masters who can transform this classic trope into unforgettable gaming experiences, while enjoying award-winning beer.
Why GM at TavCon?
First, because you want to play at TavCon: We’re planning two 4-hour game sessions, morning and mid-afternoon. TavCon GMs will receive free admission and first dibs on a seat at a game table in the other session; and anyone who GMs both sessions will receive an invitation to an exclusive TTRPG game experience at Cuver a few weeks after the convention, led by Riddle & Rook’s own Dr. Rook.
Second, because you want to meet other local gamers and share your favorite games! You can propose any TTRPG system you want, as long as you are confident that you can finish a one-shot in four hours. We love D&D, but we’re also happy to showcase indie titles. Let us know what you’re passionate about! (That said, if we have more GM submissions than we have tables, we will give preference to games that better fit the “You all meet in a tavern…” theme…)
We’re accepting DM submissions until Monday, March 30. We’ll open up ticket sales to players once we’ve finalized our game lineup. Join our mailing list or follow us on Instagram and Facebook to be alerted when that happens!
TavCon FAQs
- I want to play at TavCon! When will you post more info about signing up for games? We hope to post gamees and start selling tickets in early April. Join our mailing list, or follow us on Instagram and Facebook, and we’ll update you as soon as that goes live!
- How much will it cost to play at TavCon? We haven’t yet finalized what the cost of entrance will be. Our goal is to keep it as low as possible while still putting on the event.
- What ages will be welcome at TavCon? Cuver Brewery is an all-ages venue. TavCon plans to welcome gamers of ages 13+, and will label games that welcome younger players from those intended for adults (18+).
- Will you have an open play area at TavCon, if I can’t get into a scheduled game but still want to come play? We’re exploring that! Please watch this page for more information about it!
